These Award Winners are leaders in South Florida who promote excellence in their workplaces by fostering an inclusive work environment that welcomes and encourages employees of different perspectives, backgrounds and life experiences. The winner(s) of the Awards are selected from online nominee submissions made to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Greater Miami chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (GMSHRM) one to three months prior to the award ceremony. Objectives Education: Provide our members with tangible skills and competencies that can be used in developing initiatives and managing diversity in their workplaces. Information: Provide communication on diversity-related topics through newsletters, programs and workshops. Develop a presence on the GMSHRM.org website for diversity information. Awareness: Understand that diversity is an integral part of Human Resources management. Diversity/inclusion must be reflected in the philosophy, policies and practices of GMSHRM. GMSHRM's Diversity Committee focuses on diversity education, fostering employment opportunities and recognition of diversity efforts, including annually awarding organizations that foster an inclusive work environment.
